Urban Decay Electric Palette Review

So my Urban Decay Electric Palette came in last night and I'm so excited to start using it! I ordered it as soon as I saw it on the Sephora website. I believe this palette is permanent in their collection. The price is $49 and you are getting 10 pressed pigments and a double ended brush.

Disclaimer: Technically, Urban Decay can't call this an eyeshadow palette because the colors; Slowburn, Savage, Jilted, and Urban are "not intended for use on the immediate eye area" due to the ingredients. However, this warning is only due to laws enforced in America by the FDA. Other countries do not require a warning. I would feel comfortable using all the colors on my eyes but as for clients, I would let them know and ask them if they feel comfortable before using this palette on them.

Now, on to the fun stuff. The packaging of this palette is absolutely AMAZEBALLS. The design on the front is beautiful and it corresponds to the colors inside. The case material is the exact same as the Vice 2, it is a hard plastic case but this one has a magnetic closure. The top dimensions are the same as the Stila "In the Know" palette but this is thicker. Inside, you have practically every color of the rainbow. Obviously, being a pressed pigment palette, all the colors have an amazing color payoff. For the most part, all the shades feel very buttery with the exception of Revolt, Savage, and Gonzo which still feel nice and high quality but aren't quite as velvety as the others. It would be very difficult to create an entire wearable look with this palette but it is absolutely perfect to use to supplement gaps in your collection especially for someone like me who is a neutral color lover. Overall I think this palette is beautiful and I love having it in my collection but it may not be for everybody.
